Fostering regional resilience: Insights from SEGRA Summit on Co-operatives and Mutuals

The SEGRA: Sustainable Economic Growth for Regional Australia National Summit, was held in Toowoomba this week and featured a panel discussion on co-operatives and mutuals.

CEHL Managing Director Liz Thomas, Melina Morrison of the Business Council of Co-operatives and Mutuals (BCCM), Michael Hampson of Norco Co-operative Limited, and Natalie Browning of CBH Group came together to talk about the potential for co-ops, mutuals and community organisations to strengthen communities and build resilient economies.

Liz followed on with a presentation on Rental Housing Co-operatives as the ‘Missing Middle’ between home ownership, the private rental market and public housing.
