Historic Milestone: Inclusive Housing Co-op Secures Homes for Transgender Women

Today, we're celebrating a milestone: Australia's first housing co-operative for transgender women.


Thanks to the tireless advocacy of the co-op group All Nations and with the support of Common Equity NSW, seven terrace homes in Sydney have been secured, with funding from council, state and federal governments.

These homes will offer safety, stability, and community for a community that too often faces discrimination in the private rental market and who are at greater risk of homelessness.

It’s a powerful step toward a future where everyone has access to secure, affordable housing — in a model grounded in community and inclusion.
