ACHA Summit Invitation

2025 Australian Co-operative Housing Alliance Summit

I am pleased to share more information and extend the invitation for your co-op to participate in the 2025 National Co-operative Housing Summit, hosted by the Australian Co-operative Housing Alliance (ACHA).

ACHA is the national peak body for housing co-operatives, representing CEHL and our counterparts in other states.  ACHA’s advocacy is critical to promoting and protecting the co-op housing model – influencing policy, securing recognition and creating opportunities for growth.

The upcoming Summit brings together housing leaders, policymakers, and co-op members from across Australia. It’s a chance to share ideas, learn from others, and discuss how co-op housing can help tackle the housing crisis.

Date: Thursday, 18 September 2025

Venue: Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG)

Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, followed by networking drinks

The program features keynote speakers, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities, with a key focus on creating communities — not just buildings. As 2025 marks the International Year of Co-operatives, this gathering carries an added sense of momentum and purpose.

CEHL is providing the opportunity to cover the cost of a ticket for one Co-op Director from each region to attend – either in person or online.  This is a valuable chance to learn more about ACHA’s work and how co-ops can support national efforts to grow and strengthen the co-operative housing model.  More information on the Summit is available here https://acha.coop/2025-co-operative-housing-summit/

To discuss the Summit or nominate your attendance, please get in touch with your Co-op Development Co-ordinator (CDC) by 12 PM, Tuesday, September 9.

Please note: In this instance, travel and accommodation are the responsibility of the attending co-op member.

Yours in Co-operation

Liz Thomas
