Co-op Chairperson Toolkit

A Chairpersons key responsibilities include: 

  • chair the general and directors’ meetings

  • have a working knowledge of the rules of their co-operative

  • keep meetings and members ‘on track’ with an agenda and timelines

  • work closely with directors and when planning

  • keep members informed and induct new members to their co-op

  • be a good representative of their co-op at CEHL and other events

  • train other members to do the role – succession planning.
