Housing co-operatives are a community of people who work together to meet their housing needs.
Through the CEHL Honour Board, the CEHL Board celebrates the outstanding individuals whose commitment and dedication have contributed to strengthening their co-ops and the broader CEHL co-operative community.
The 2022/23 nominees were:
- Craig Matthews from Cut Paw Paw CERC
- Gordon Kieselbach from Geelong West CERC
- Melanie Abrams from Earth CERC
- Susan Lockie from Thoroughbreds CERC.
Together, these four nominees bring a wealth of experience, boasting nearly 75 years of combined commitment to co-operative housing. Each nominee has left an indelible mark on the CEHL community, contributing their unique talents and shaping the co-op landscape.
On behalf of the CEHL Board, Fiona Herman announced Gordon Kieselbach as the 2023 Honour Board recipient.
“Gordon, during the years … you have gone above and beyond for our co-op community. You are acknowledged as being hard-working and dedicated. You have participated in countless events and contributed to various co-op committees. Your support and guidance to many members embarking on their co-op journey have been invaluable. Thank you for your dedication, Gordon. Your efforts are the backbone of our thriving co-op community. Today, your fellow co-op members and CEHL honour you and all that you have done. Congratulations” said Fiona.
