The role of founding members
Through training, mentoring and ongoing development, CEHL will support individuals in their role as a Brunswick Co-op founding member to:
- Define the purpose of the co-op beyond affordable housing
- Develop co-op rules and a business plan
- Formalise the co-op agreement with CEHL
- Establish the process and criteria for assessing member applications
What is CEHL looking for in the founding members?
MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY
- Currently living in a co-op
- Have been a director of a co-op
- Income eligibility
- Willingness to be involved in media opportunities to promote co-op housing and the new Brunswick development
- Evidence of compliance with legislation
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING
- Proven leadership skills
- Experience as a Co-op Director
- Confirmation of active membership
- Ability to share knowledge with others
- Ability to foster community connections
